Evolution MuayThai Academy was est in 2004 by brothers Peter and Reece Crooke. Based in their home village of Wombourne, the brothers are passing on the skills that got them to the very top of the sport.

Peter was a 3 x World Champion, European Champion 2 x British Champion and superstar of the Superleague & K1 Max organisations, regarded as one of the very best fighters pound for pound to ever come out of the UK. He fought and beat legends of MuayThai and K1, known for his boxing skills and KO power he was always a fans favourite. He was followed into the sport by younger brother Reece who quickly established himself as the No1 in the UK for his weight. Like Peter he travelled the globe winning numerous titles becoming European, Commonwealth & British Champion.

Now both retired from the ring, they’ve been passing on their knowledge to the next generation of future stars at Evolution MuayThai Academy.

All classes are taught in a Brand new, fully equipped studio, with programs for complete beginners to advanced students young and old. A family friendly welcoming atmosphere for anyone, regardless of age or fitness.

I've never done Muay Thai before — can I join?

Absolutely. We run programs for complete beginners through to advanced students, and we cater for all ages and fitness levels. You don't need any prior martial arts, combat sports or even fitness experience to start — just turn up and we'll take you through it from the ground up.

Can I try a class before signing up?

Yes — your first session is free. You can claim your free trial directly through our website.

Who are the coaches?

Evolution was founded in 2004 by brothers Peter and Reece Crooke. Peter is a 3x World Champion, European Champion, 2x British Champion and a Superleague and K1 Max veteran — widely regarded as one of the best fighters pound-for-pound to come out of the UK. Reece followed him into the sport and became European, Commonwealth and British Champion. Both have retired from competing and now focus on developing the next generation here at Evolution.

Do I have to compete?

Not at all. Most of our members train purely for fitness, technique and enjoyment. If you do want to compete, we have the experience and pedigree to take you all the way — but it's entirely your choice.

Will I have to spar or fight anyone?

No — sparring is never compulsory. Our beginner classes focus on technique, pad work and conditioning. If and when you choose to progress to sparring, it'll be controlled, with a partner at a similar level, and your coaches will make sure you're ready first.
